My first sales experience happened when I was around 10 years old. I grew up near a public golf course and spent a lot of time playing in the woods next to the course with my friends.
One day I saw an opportunity to start selling the balls players would hit into the woods, so after grabbing a bag and picking up the best-looking balls, I'd stand at the 9th fairway and call out to the golfers "hey, would you like to buy some golf balls?"
Before long I'd earned enough money to buy a burger, fries, and a drink at the clubhouse. Without realizing it, I was hooked on selling.
I've spent my entire adult life working in sales. In addition to a few entrepreneurial ventures, I've been a 100% commission salesperson working in TV, radio, newspaper, and digital and outdoor for over 35 years.
During my time in media sales I learned the ins and outs of the marketing world and how to earn the trust of my clients. Over the years I shared in their wins and losses, and ultimately learned to do business and sales the "right" way, building strong and successful relationships.
The "logo" for the company is my own design, and speaks to my belief that sales is what helps businesses grow. By creating a strong root system, then with care and nourishment, the harvest becomes the reward.
Selling can be richly rewarding, especially when you learn to put your customers' needs before your own and to think long-term about the value of the things you sell.
In my spare time, I hike, bike, and love to be out on a golf course! I'm a very amateur photographer, so all the photos you see on the site are mine. I intentionally chose the theme of using pictures of paths and bridges because this imagery is a) inviting and b) instills the message that change requires stepping on to a new path.
