We all have the right to have our name spelled and or pronounced correctly. Get this wrong and all of your hard work to build trust and rapport can instantly vaporize.
When you first meet a new prospect and you are not sure how to pronounce their name, ask how to say it properly. Spelling their name wrong is unacceptable as you have their business card or an e-mail to double check the spelling.
You can do a lot of things right until you make this mistake. The underlying problem is that the recipient of your carelessness starts to wonder if you will be equally as sloppy on how you deliver your product or service.
